Fatwa Answer
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah Mufti Sahib,
In this era everyone (including me) is using social media as platform to share the knowledge and information including phone applications to share audio or video clips of different bayanat. Recently some of my friends have been sharing audios and videos with me which contain soft spoken female voice speaking about the akhirah and the conditions of grave. In some of these videos the females also appear in full make up. When I objected to the friends who had shared it with me, they said to me that you are just listening to their voice so it is considered permissible. But I think that it is not just listening, it is listening to and watching a namehram give a talk in a soft spoken female voice. My question is, is this not a fitnah as it involves the sin of bad-nazri and listening to the voice of a namehram? Please guide me in the light of Quran and Hadith of Rasulullah Sallallaho Alyhi Wasallam.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah
Mingling of females (with or without makeup) with namehram men in a program, participating in reciting na‘at or any other similar activity, then making videos of such activities, appearing on tv channels etc. without pardah, then men listening to or watching and enjoying it and forwarding it to others through messages are actions which are based on vulgarity and immorality and considered as abominable actions. On one hand it contains the sin of making pictures and videos of animate objects while on the other hand it is considered as a shameless act and propagation of shamelessness. Therefore, these actions are considered as impermissible and refraining from them is an absolute need for us. Quran and hadith stops us from such actions with sever reprimand and rebuke:
وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَى الخ(الاحزاب:۳۳)
Translation: Remain in your homes, and do not display (your) beauty as it used to be displayed in the days of earlier ignorance
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ(النور:۱۹)
Translation: Surely, those who like that lewdness spreads among the believers, for them there is painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. Allah knows, and you do not know.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالْإِحْسَانِ وَإِيتَاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ(النحل:۹۰)
Translation: Allah enjoins to do justice and to adopt good behavior and to give relatives (their due rights), and forbids shameful acts, evil deeds and oppressive attitude. He exhorts you, so that you may be mindful.

آج کے دور میں (بشمول میرے) سبھی لوگ سوشل میڈیا کو معلومات اور علم کو پھیلانے کے لئے استعمال کرتے ہیں، مثلا فون کی ایپلیکیشنز جن کے ذریعہ آڈیو اور ویڈیو بیانات کو دوسروں کے ساتھ شیئر کیا جاتا ہے۔ حال ہی میں میرے کچھ دوستوں نے ایسے آڈیو اور ویڈیو بیانات شئیر کرنے شروع کئے ہیں جس میں خواتین، اپنی مدھم نسوانی آواز میں بیانات دے رہی ہوتی ہیں، اور مضامین آخرت کے عذاب اور قبر کے حالات کے بارے میں کر رہی ہوتی ہیں۔ ان چند ویڈیوز میں یہ خواتین مکمل میک اپ وغیرہ میں نظر آتی ہیں۔ جب میں نے اپنے دوستوں سے اس مسئلے میں اختلاف کیا تو وہ کہتے ہیں کہ چونکہ ہم صرف ان کی آوز سن رہے ہیں لہذا ایسا کرنا جائز ہے۔ لیکن میرا یہ خیال ہے کہ یہ صرف ان کی آواز سننے تک محدود نہیں بلکہ اس میں اک نامحرم کی مدھم نسوانی آواز کو سننا اور اس کو دیکھنا وغیرہ شامل ہے۔ میرا سوال یہ ہے کہ کیا یہ ایک فتنہ نہیں کیونکہ اس میں بدنظری کا گناہ بھی شامل ہے اور اک نامحرم کی آواز سننے کا گناہ بھی؟ براہ کرم قرآن و حدیث کی روشنی میں جواب دے دیجئے۔

خواتین کا بن سنور کر اجنبی مردوں کے ساتھ کسی پروگروم میں شرکت کرنا،اور اس میں نعتیں یاکسی اور چیز میں حصہ لینا،پھراس کی ویڈیوبنانا اور ٹی وی چینلس وغیرہ پربغیر حجاب کے آنا، اور پھرمرد حضرات کااس کو سننا اور دیکھنا اور لطف اندوز ہونااور میسیجس وغیرہ کے ذریعہ دوسروں تک پہنچانایہ سب فحاشی اوربدکاری پر مشتمل ایک گھناؤنی حرکت ہے،جس میں ایک طرف تصویر اور ویڈیو سازی کا گناہ ہے تو دوسری طرف بے حیائی اور اس کی تشہیر کا،اس لئے یہ ناجائز ہے،قرآن و حدیث میں بڑی سختی کے ساتھ ان چیزوں سے روکا گیا ہے،ان سے بچنا ضروری ہے۔

اور اپنے گھروں میں قرار کے ساتھ رہو ۔ اور (غیر مردوں کو) بناؤ سنگھار دکھاتی نہ پھرو، جیسا کہ پہلی بار جاہلیت میں دکھایا جاتا تھا۔
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ(النور:۱۹)
جو لوگ (بعد نزول ان آیات کے بھی) چاہتے ہیں کہ بےحیائی کی بات کا مسلمانوں میں چرچا ہو (ف ١) ان کے لیے دنیا اور آخرت میں سزائے دردناک (مقرر) ہے اور (اس امر پر سزا کا تعجب مت کرو کیوں کہ) اللہ تعالیٰ جانتا ہے اور تم نہیں جانتے۔

بیشک اللہ انصاف کا، احسان کا، اور رشتہ داروں کو (ان کے حقوق) دینے کا حکم دیتا ہے، اور بےحیائی، بدی اور ظلم سے روکتا ہے۔ وہ تمہیں نصیحت کرتا ہے تاکہ تم نصیحت قبول کرو۔
