Having riches or children is all from Allaah Rabbul Izzat, however, sometimes having Nikah also becomes source of riches and birth of girls is also source of goodness and blessing. But this is not a definite rule. It’s Allaah Ta’alaa whosoever He wishes He gives children and whosoever He wishes He does not. Whosoever He wishes He blesses with wealth and whosoever He wishes He deprives from it. Often times there is financial constraint in the presence of a woman. Similarly Allaah Ta’alaa deprives many a men from having children. Therefore, the real thing is the will and wish of Allaah Ta’alaa and the fate from Him and only Allaah knows better.

Hakim ul Umaat Hazrat Thanwi R.A. has written in the Tafseer of the Aayaat ووجدک عائلاً فأغنی and ان یکونوا فقراء یغنہم اللہ that “If those people would be poor then Allaah Ta’alaa (if He wishes) will make them غنی (Ghani) with His فضل (Fadl). (Hence, neither one should consider not having غنا Ghina a reason not to have the Nikah nor he should consider Nikah to be an obstacle in having غنا Ghina. It depends on the wish and will of Allaah Ta’alaa. If the will and wish of Allaah Ta’alaa is to have poverty a person will have poverty though he has not done Nikah. If the wish and will of Allaah Ta’alaa is to have غنا Ghina a person will have غنا Ghina though he has not done Nikah. So why should a person be attentive towards such superstitions). And Allaah Ta’alaa is of great abundance (whosoever He wishes he may make him غنی Ghani).
