Assalamualaikum,
I was wondering if Nouman Ali Khan and Mufti Menk are reputable people whose speeches we can listen to.

الجواب وباللہ التوفیق
One should listen to religious speeches and discourses of certified, authentic, pious, and Ahl e Haq Scholars whose nobleness and piety also have a special effect. There is more apprehension of getting mislead by the speeches of Non Ahl e Haq persons. It comes in Sahih Muslim,
عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا الْعِلْمَ دِينٌ، فَانْظُرُوا عَمَّنْ تَأْخُذُونَ دِينَكُمْ» (صحیح مسلم:1/14)
Translation: Have good verification of the persons from whom you are taking and learning the talks of Deen. The essence of this is that there is extreme danger of getting mislead by having the talks of Deen from non-authentic non-certified person. One should avoid their discourses.

الجواب وباللہ التوفیق
دینی تقاریراور بیانات ، محقق،مستند،متقی اوراہل حق علماءکے سننا چاہئے، جن کی بزرگی اور تقویٰ کا بھی ایک خاص اثر ہوتا ہے،غیر اہل حق کی تقاریر سے گمراہی کا اندیشہ زیادہ ہوتا ہے، صحیح مسلم میں ہے:
عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا الْعِلْمَ دِينٌ، فَانْظُرُوا عَمَّنْ تَأْخُذُونَ دِينَكُمْ» (صحیح مسلم:1/14)
ترجمہ: دین کی باتیں تم جس سے لے رہے ہو اور سیکھ رہے ہو اس کو اچھی طرح دیکھ بھال لو۔جس کا حاصل یہی ہے کہ غیرمستند غیر محقق آدمی سے دین کی باتیں لینے میں گمراہی کا شدید خطرہ ہے۔ان کے بیانات سے اجتناب کرنا چاہیے
