Question ID: 1758 Category: Beliefs
Faith and beliefs

AssalamuAlaikum, I have a few faith related questions that have been bothering me for awhile.

1) Were we created with our personality hence we make decisions based on our personality which Allah has given us? Example : Some people have open hearted personality which helps them to accept Allah while others have a very stubborn and do not accept.

2) If Ambiya (A.S.) are Masoom, then isn’t it easier for them to not commit Sin than and harder for us because we aren't Masoom?

3) Is Jannah subjective such that we can only desire and have certain things that Allah likes and not be able to desire or do anything other than that like for example, desiring to smoke or other things that are Haram in the Dunya?

In that case, if a husband and wife enters Jannah together, would she feel jealous that her husband has 72 hoors? Or would she not feel jealous

And can a woman receive multiple Men as her husband if she desires that in Jannah?

1. Every person has been granted freedom of choice and the power of decision by Allah (SWT). Based on that free will, a person makes his decisions. Sometimes those decisions are righly made which go in his favor and other times they are wrong because of his own ignorance, lack of rationality, delusion, or misguidance.

Just as a person has the freedom to eat, drink, come and go, live, endure, likewise, he has the option to embrace faith or choose disbelief. . Therefore, targeting natural abilities, innate talents, attributes, or the destiny, for the failures in life emanate from self-ignorance and delusion.

2. Infallibility is the characteristic of the Prophets of Allah (SWT). Remember that it does not mean they have no power over sins. Rather, despite having that power, they remain innocent.

Their control over their self and the devil, transcendence from obsessions, divine protection, and  special attention and supervision of the Almighty Allah (SWT), in addition to their piety and purity, virtuous nature, and blessed instincts, even the thought of sins is intolerable for them. That is why they are saved from sins, and their desires are subject to Allah’s will and providence.

On the other hand, that is not the case with ordinary people, therefore, sins continue to be committed by them. That is not necessary either, because many devoted religious saints in history were spared from sins though being non-innocent. In any case, finding justification for sins based on innocence and non-innocence, or neglecting good deeds or committing sins blatantly, is neither the correct mindset nor is the right course of action for anyone to follow.

3. Paradise is pure and sacred. To inhabit, Allah (SWT) will make our souls pure and holy, compatible with that blessed environment. With virtuous souls, desires are bound to become pure as well, and no desires emerge which are against the will of the Almighty Allah (SWT).

4. The wife will not become jealous of 72 (or more or less) beautiful nymphs of paradise (Hoors) for the husband, because Allah Ta'ala will make the hearts and minds pure from all vices there.

وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِى صُدُورِهِم مّنْ غِلّ إِخْوَانًا عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَبِلِينَ (الحجر:۴۷)

A woman's relationship with more than one man is a matter of dishonor and humiliation for a woman. That is why Allah (SWT) has prevented it in this world and He will prevent it in the Paradise as well.

As far as desire is concerned, after going to this pure and blessed place, such vile and shameful desires will not arise.
